the conclusion of the fourth edition of the Storm Games Fitness Championship – Fujairah 2026, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.
The championship featured the participation of 200 male and female athletes, under the supervision of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, representing 40 nationalities from around the world, with a total prize pool of approximately AED 350,000.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, for his generous patronage and continuous support, which have contributed to the success and development of sports at all levels. He emphasized that His Highness’s support has brought about a qualitative leap for the Storm Games Fitness Championship – Fujairah since its inception, and that the championship is poised to achieve global recognition in the near future.
Sheikh Abdullah Al Sharqi stated that their ambition is for the championship to continue its growth in a way that supports the practice of CrossFit across the UAE, becoming an integral part of Emirati sports. He highlighted the significant role played by the Storm Games in attracting world-class champions and enhancing opportunities for both Emirati and resident athletes to participate sustainably, as it is a community-friendly sport enjoyed by all, in addition to being highly competitive. He added that the goal is to continue expanding the championship across all emirates and to reach higher international platforms in the future.
Sheikh Al Sharqi also expressed his happiness with the participation of distinguished athletes with global achievements, alongside an elite group of international Emirati athletes, which contributed to raising the technical level of the championship.
It is worth noting that the championship consisted of six stages, each given a symbolic name:

“Marhaba” (Welcome) – symbolizing Fujairah’s warm welcome to the participants.

“Jabal Storm” (Storm Mountain) – referring to the championship’s name and Fujairah’s mountainous nature.

“Yallah Madhab” – referencing the historic city of Madhab, one of the UAE’s ancient cities with a rich heritage.

“Second of December” – reflecting a cherished day in the lives of Emiratis, marking UAE National Day.

“Bull Strike” – inspired by the traditional bull wrestling sport famously organized in Fujairah.

“Al Tawyeen” – named after the city of Al Tawyeen, known for its distinctive geographical, historical, and community character in Fujairah.
