Under the directives of Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the UAE Federation for Bodybuilding and Fitness, the Organizing Committee of the World Professional Championship and the 4th edition of the Mr. & Mrs. World Championship for Professionals and Amateurs held a coordination meeting at the Department of Industry and Economy in Fujairah on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. The meeting reviewed the latest technical, administrative, and organisational preparations for hosting the two championships, which are part of a series of international and local bodybuilding events hosted by Fujairah over the past 25 years, with remarkable success.

The championships, scheduled to take place from September 5 to 7 at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, are organized by the Department of Industry and Economy in Fujairah under the generous patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, in cooperation with the UAE and International Bodybuilding Federations.

The meeting was chaired by H.E. Eng. Mohammed Obaid bin Majid, Director of the Department of Industry and Economy in Fujairah and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, with the attendance of various committee members. Championship Director Mr. Khalil Ma’arouf also participated via Zoom. Bin Majid discussed the latest arrangements related to the championships with the committees, affirming full readiness to ensure the event's success, which will witness wide participation from top professional and amateur athletes, including the women’s category.

The organizing committees also presented their programs, plans, and coordination efforts with relevant authorities to ensure delivering an exceptional edition that reflects Fujairah’s status as a global destination for major championships and reinforces its distinguished reputation for organizing sporting events at the highest professional standards.

H.E. Eng. Mohammed Obaid bin Majid further announced that Fujairah will host the World Professional Bodybuilding Championship – originally scheduled to be held in Spain – to be organized simultaneously with the 4th Mr. & Mrs. World Championship for Professionals and Amateurs, due to the close timing of the two events, the ease of entry for participants into the UAE, and the great trust the International Bodybuilding Federation places in Fujairah’s championships.
