Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, crowned several winners in the first round of the "Tactical Gym" fitness championship, which took place in the Al Dhafra region the day before yesterday. The event was sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and organized by the Desert Storm team, featuring 140 athletes from 36 teams of both genders. The event was attended by Mohammed Khalfan Al Hameli, Chairman of the Marina Holding Group, and Faiz Al Saadi, the group’s Executive Director.
The results revealed that the Abu Dhabi Police teams (A and B) secured the first and second places in the men's category, while the "Raptors" team claimed third place. In the women's category, the "The Girls" team took first place, followed by the "Iron Queens" in second, and the "Desert Storm Warriors" in third.
Al Sharqi praised the collaboration and support from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in organizing various fitness championships, emphasizing that this will contribute to a qualitative leap in fitness in the country. He also commended the efforts of organizing committee members Ibrahim Al Shamsi and Tawfiq Shakir, as well as the judges and the Desert Storm team, for their significant contributions to the success of the championship.
For his part, a member of the Fitness Committee in the federation described the championship as having strong performances due to the athletes' physical capabilities. He noted that the joint cooperation and precise organization led to high-level competitions, contributing to the promotion of fitness culture in the UAE.
